NATIONAL CURRICULUM ASSESSMENT

Children are assessed at the end of Key Stage 1 (7 year olds) and at the end of Key Stage 2 (11 year olds) using the Government's Standard Assessment Tests or SATS.

The majority of children at the end of Key Stage 1 should be working at Level 2 or above.  The children are tested in English (reading and writing including handwriting and spelling) and Maths.

The majority of children at Key Stage 2 should be working at Level 4 or above in English, Maths and Science.

In the tables below, the figures in brackets are the Government's targets.

OFSTED

We had our school's inspection on the 17th January 2007.  The full report is available on our Documents page on the left.

A school is rated at four levels: outstanding, good, satisfactory and inadequate.

We were given outstanding or good in 30 of the 31 areas which were inspected.  The 31st area, attendance, scored only a satisfactory (as some children were taken on holiday during school time).

 BRITISH COUNCIL
